Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental health illnesses affecting 40 million in the U.S.
Major Depression is the leading cause of disability in the U.S among ages 15-44 yrs.
Sleep disorders are particularly common in patients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, paranoid disorders, and ADHD.
Suicide affects all ages. It is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34, and fourth leading cause among ages 35-44.

Sondra Butler, MSN, BSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC has dual certifications in family medicine and psychiatry. She has spent most of her years in psychiatry treating adults across the lifespan for depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, sleep, and attention deficit disorders. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Xavier University, and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialization from Northern Kentucky University.

You will have a conversation with the the Nurse Practitioner. She will get to know you and come to understand why you are seeking treatment. There will be a lot of questions for you to answer about your physical and mental health. This may take 45-60 minutes.
After the Nurse Practitioner has gathered enough information. She will formulate a diagnosis. Together you will agree on a treatment plan that may involve medication, lab work and/or a therapy referral.
After the initial visit you will be asked to follow up to monitor your treatment progress and to make sure that you are feeling your best.
